Publishers Weekly reports that California-based Vook LLC has partnered with Simon and Schuster to publish four vooks, a combination of books and videos available as applications for the computer, iPhone, and iPod Touch. The titles are priced at $6.99, and contain between thirteen and seventeen one-to-two-minute videos each. Simon and Schuster is testing the waters with this venture, the article says, sounding out the market for evolving forms of publication.
