Advertise
Dear Advertisers,
AWP’s website is undergoing some exciting new changes in 2024 and is expected to be fully revamped by late summer to early fall! Due to these updates, some advertising bookings will be affected.
Writer’s Chronicle ad sales will pause, effective March 1, 2024. This means that advertisers will not be able to book ad space for issues beyond the April 2024 issue until further notice.
Website ad sales will also pause, effective July 1, 2024. Advertisers can book web ads through June 30, 2024.
The advertising properties that will not be affected during this transition are email advertising and conference advertising. You can continue to book ads for the newsletter and for #AWP25 at any time by emailing advertising@awpwriter.org.
Want to be the first to know when website and Writer’s Chronicle advertising is back up and running? Opt in to be added to our advertiser mailing list today for those updates!
Your patience is much appreciated—thank you for advertising with AWP!
All the best,
AWP Staff
Terms of Advertisement
AWP reserves the right to refuse any advertisement it feels is inappropriate or which does not conform to the standards of the property. AWP reserves the right to print the word “Advertisement” on any advertisement that might be misconstrued as editorial content.
The Advertiser and/or the Advertising Agency assume all liability for content of all advertisements posted and assume all liability for any claims made against AWP as the result of an advertisement.
AWP runs only prepaid ads and reserves the right to cancel an advertising booking if payment is not received in full four weeks prior to the run date for Writer’s Chronicle and conference program ads and two weeks prior to the run date for all other advertising properties.
In the case of advertisers associated with an academic program, AWP may accept a submitted purchase order in lieu of full payment in order to run an advertisement on a tight deadline; however, full payment of the purchase order must be completed within thirty days of ad run date.
Contracts agreed to in writing are considered binding by AWP and are subject to all terms and requirements of this confirmation.
Rendering an invoice to an Advertising Agency does not relieve the Advertiser of payment for the advertisement.
If, due to circumstances beyond its control, AWP is not able to circulate the particular property in which an advertisement was to be contained, its only liability shall be to publish the advertisement in its next available property, or, at its option, to refund any sums paid for the advertisement.
Multiple-placement discounts are available only for ads booked as part of the same invoice and do not apply to multiple ads booked separately throughout the same year.
Advertiser is responsible for providing the highest-quality image for booked display ads (300 dpi), and AWP reserves the right to request an alternate image or refuse to run a display ad that is of poor graphic quality.
Advertiser is responsible for copyediting their own display ads and for ensuring that the hyperlink attached to the ad is functioning properly.
AWP cannot be held responsible for errors caused by late copy.
