Guggenheim Foundation Appoints New Vice President

The John Simon Guggenheim foundation has tapped André Bernard to be its new Vice President. Bernard has worked in the publishing industry for twenty years, most recently at Harcourt, where he served as Vice President and Publisher. Bernard will oversee the foundation’s fellowship competitions that comprise an $8.5 million grant program. The foundation supports scholarship, scientific research, and literary accomplishment.
