NEA Fellowships for Prose Announced

The 2012 National Endowment for the Arts’ Literature Fellowships in Creative Writing (Prose) have been announced. There were forty recipients in all this year, and each received $25,000 to help them in their writing. Notables include Eula Biss, Alan Heathcock, Tayari Jones, Ben Percy, and Jennifer Haigh.

The NEA offers fellowships for prose and poetry in alternating years. The 2013 fellowships will go to poets. Individuals may apply once each year. The application deadline for next year is March 1, 2012. Visit http://arts.gov/grants/apply/Lit/index.html to learn more.
