Friday, October 13
2:00 p.m.— Get your work out there with OPEN MIC - Virtual Poetry & Storytelling Session, presented by ArtHut. This session is held bi-monthly with the goal of fostering community between poets, writers, authors, and storytellers. Registration is free, and this event will take place online.
Sunday, October 15
1:00 p.m.— Learn about the building blocks and basics of a solid story with NUTS & BOLTS OF WRITING FICTION. Open for writers of all backgrounds, refresh yourself on some basic elements of fiction or pivot into a completely new genre. Registration is free, and this event will take place online.

4:00 p.m.— Learn about elements of prose poetry in Pros of Prose Poetry: Hybrid Workshop Series with instructor Mariam Ahmed. Bring a pen and implement or have your word document ready for this interactive series. Registration is free, and this event will take place online.
7:00 p.m.— The PEN/Faulkner Foundation presents Literary Conversations: Leaving Home, Finding Home. Don't miss this Literary Conversation featuring Angie Cruz, Jonathan Escoffery, Sarah Thankam Mathews, and Jung Yun! Registration is free, and this event will take place online.
9:30 p.m.— The City of West Hollywood’s Art Council presents WeHo Reads: Creating Hope in Times of Trouble. This discussion will gather dystopian and speculative fiction authors to consider questions of narrative, society, and more. Host Kate Maruyama will lead a roundtable discussion with award-winning authors, including Cecil Castellucci, Matthew Kressel, PJ Manney, Nisi Shawl, and Sherri L. Smith.
