8:30 p.m.— Feeling stuck? Missing your groove? Attend a Writing Workshop hosted by Called to Rite to get in touch with your inner voice and break out of writer’s block. Registration is free, and this event will take place online.

1:00 p.m.— Join a welcoming, affirming writing community with Speak the Word: online poetry writing workshop. All spoken word and poetry lovers are welcome! This workshop is part of an ongoing series. Registration is free, and this event will take place online.

9:00 a.m.— Sharpen your writing skills with Allographic Write-In! All writers are welcome. Come with your WIP, if you’re just looking for inspiration, and feel free to come and go as you please to this virtual event. Registration is free, and keep an eye open for other Allographic online events!

6:45 p.m.— Photographers Without Borders presents a Storyteller Gathering! Learn about ethical storytelling in photojournalism. Registration is free, and this event will take place online.

Friday, July 7

10:00 p.m.— Share your work with SocietyX : Get Inspired & Speak Up! OPEN MIC. Strengthen your writing skills, overcome writer’s block, express yourself, and receive and incorporate feedback from your peers! Registration is free, and this event will take place online.

Saturday, July 8

4:00 p.m.— Join a book club that hosts a great community with a love for reading: Bookish Book Club | Meet & Greet for Mystery & Thriller Lovers. This club will feature not only thriller and mystery genres, but mystery and thriller novels by LGTBQ+ and Indigenous authors, as well. Registration is free, and this event will take place online.

Tuesday, July 11

11:00 a.m.— The English Association presents:  The Power and Pleasure of Reading. Panel discussion attendees can expect to hear a discussion among academics and authors about reading for fun and how reading and literacy have changed in the past years. Speakers include Dr. Deborah Thacker, Chris Brown, Jake Hope, and Kat Wood. Registration is free, and this event will take place online.

11:30 a.m.— Bloomsbury Academic Education presents Publishing with Bloomsbury: Online Workshops for Early Career Researchers. Learn about the publishing process with Alison Baker and author guest Julia Molinari. Registration is free, and this event will take place online.

2:00 p.m.— Transition Cambridge presents an Environmental Discussion and Reading Club. Attendees will come together to discuss the climate, nature, environmental change, books, and more!
