Tuesday, June 13
7:00 p.m.— Pen Parentis presents Collaborations in Writing: working on a joint project when you have kids. Author pairs E. Ethelbert Miller and Miho Kinnas, Terry Ellen Cross and Hayes Davis, and Daniella Mustyanick and Brandi Larsen will be sharing the collaborative processes and joint efforts taken to create their respective works. Pen Parentis asks that attendees make a donation to attend this online discussion.

7:00 p.m.— Hear what’s new in New York City with Brooklyn Poets Staff Picks. This quarterly virtual session hosts a staff-curated lineup of strong-voiced poets. Featured poets include mallika singh, Yi Wei, and Isabella Willms-Jones. Registration is free, and this event will take place online.

7:00 p.m.— Join the Koffler Gallery as they host Treacherous Memories, Sacred Futures: Writing Workshops. Award-winning author Lisa Richter will serve as facilitator. The Synagogue at Babyn Yar exhibition will serve as inspiration for this workshop, and attendees will be asked to share their poetry, prose, fiction, or non-fiction drafts at the conclusion of the workshop. 3:00 p.m.— You won’t want to miss the upcoming event The Writers’ Lunch: Creating Literary Community. Join author and founder of Lit Camp and Page Street co-working, Janis Cooke Newman, for a conversation on how to create your own literary community. 7:00 p.m.— Baker Book House presents Diving Into The Past: A Virtual Fiction Author Night. Delve into the world of historical fiction alongside attending authors Stephanie H. McGee, Ann H. 7:00 p.m.— Join Open Sky Stories for a Community Writing Session. Author and facilitator Erica Richmond will be leading this group-based writing period. 7:00 p.m.— The Charlotte Street Foundation presents Midwest Poetics Writing Workshop with Jamaica Baldwin. Jamacia Baldwin is a poet, author, and educator who will be leading this workshop. General admission is free, and this event will take place online.
