7—8 p.m.— Join Old Town Books for December Murder by the Book Club: All Good People Here by Ashley Flowers. Come prepared to discuss this true-crime novel about death, neighbors, and kept secrets. 8 p.m.— Join Winnipeg International Writers Festival and Winnipeg Public Library for the Speaking Crow January 2023 Open Mic, Winnipeg’s longest-running open mic. Attendees can register as either speakers or as part of the virtual audience. Sally Ito will be in attendance as a featured guest. Registration is free, and this event will take place online.

1 p.m.— Brunel University of London will be hosting Intersection: Songwriting and Prose - Matthew Caws in conversation. Matthew Caws, the lead vocalist and guitarist of the American alternative rock band Nada Surf joins author and Brunel lecturer Helen Cullen.
