Saturday, October 8
2:00–4:00 p.m.— Join The National Museum of Language as they welcome Calligraphic artist Taipan Lucero and language teacher Allan Torres Camba in the event: Two Efforts to Revive the Ancient Filipino Script. Lucero and Camba bring to light the rich and vast history of Filipino culture, ways to preserve language for future generations, decolonization, and the importance of keeping a strong and close-knit community. Registration is free, and this event will take place online.
Tuesday, October 11
10:00–11:00 p.m.— Bel Canto’s book of the month club returns with a night devoted to celebrating Filipino American History Month. In this session, attendees should come prepared to discuss Conception by Albert Samaha. Registration is free, and this event will take place online.
Wednesday, October 26
9:00–10:00 p.m.— Bel Canto Books presents FAHM Pinay Poetry Night with Barbara Jane Reyes and Friends. Join for a virtual evening of spoken Pinay poetry from presenters Arlene Biala, Marianne Chan, Dannni Quintos, and Barbara Jane Reyes. Registration is free, and this event will take place online.
