AWP Continues Vaccination Requirement
February 17, 2022
In December 2021, Philadelphia announced that anyone entering an establishment serving food or beverages would be required to show proof of vaccination as that was during a spike in cases of the Omicron COVID-19 variant. As of February 16, 2022, the Philadelphia Department of Public Health announced that due to a decline in cases, the city is changing its COVID-19 safety mandates and will no longer require proof of vaccination to enter food and beverage establishments.
While this mandate has been lifted, AWP will still require proof of vaccination against COVID-19 in order to attend the Conference & Bookfair as vaccination is shown to be effective at reducing spread and severe illness. Per CDC guidance, AWP strongly encourages all attendees to get the COVID-19 booster shot.
Philadelphia’s mask mandate remains in effect, and all visitors to the Pennsylvania Convention Center are required to wear masks while onsite.
