Virginia State Champion wins National Poetry Contest

The National Endowment for the Arts has announced the 2009 National Winners of Poetry Out Loud: National Recitation Contest, a poetry recitation competition for high school students. William Farley of Arlington, Virginia received the title of Poetry Out Loud National Champion and a $20,000 award, and his school received $500 for the purchase of poetry books.
