Second place: Aaron Carmichael, $1,000 for “Driver Yu’s Penance.” Publication in upcoming issue of Glimmer Train Stories.

Third place: Aaron Cutler, $600 for “15 Shots.”

2009 Perugia Press Prize for a First or Second Book of Poetry by a Woman. $1,000 and publication by Perugia Press. Winner: Jennifer K. Sweeney for How To Live on Bread and Music.

2009 L.L. Winship/PEN New England Award in Poetry. Winner: Nancy K. Pearson for Two Minues of Light (Perugia Press, 2008).

2009 A. Poulin Jr. Poetry Prize. $1,500 and publication by BOA Editioins.  Winner: Keetje Kuipers for Beautiful in the Mouth. Judge: Thomas Lux.
