2010-2011 Dorset Prize by Tupelo Press. Ruth Ellen Kocher for /domina Un/blued. Judge: Lynn Emanuel. Runners-up: Hadara Bar-Nadav for Lullaby (With Exit Sign), Malachi Black for Storm Toward Morning.

Passaic County Community College 2011 Paterson Poetry Prize Award. $1,000. Elizabeth Alexander for Crave Radiance: New and Selected Poems 1990-2010 (Graywolf Press, Minneapolis, MN).

Glimmer Train April Family Matters Competition:

First place: Rebecca Podos. $1,200 for “The Fourth.” Publication in the Fall 2012 issue.

Second place: Marjorie Celona. $500 for “Gladstone.” Publication in an upcoming issue, increasing her prize to $700.

Third place: Clark Knowles. $300 for “Each Other’s Business.” Publication in an upcoming issue, increasing his prize to $700.

2011 Tampa Review Poetry Prize. Publication and $2,000. John Blair for The Occasions of Paradise. Runner-Up: Jennifer Key for The Old Dominion.

Cleveland State University Poetry Center Awards for its First Book and Open Competition:

S.E. Smith won the 2011 First Book Award for her collection I Live in a Hut. Publication and $1,000.
Judge: Matthea Harvey.

Jon Woodward won the 2011 Open Competition Award for his collection Uncanny Valley. Publication and $1,000. Judges: Kazim Ali, Mary Biddinger, Michael Dumanis, and Sarah Gridley.
