26 Writers, 1 Crime Novel

July 29, 2011

Andrew Gulli, editor of Strand magazine, has gathered twenty-six authors together (including himself) to write a single crime novel, called No Rest for the Dead. It took Gulli, whose magazine features crime, thriller, and mystery short stories, four years to get the project organized and fully realized. The star-powered cast of contributing authors includes R.L. Stine, David Baldacci, Jeff Lindsay (of the Dexter series), Tess Gerritsen, Diana Gabaldon, Jeffery Deaver, and twenty others.

“If you add up the group of writers who have taken part in this book, you’ll find they have sales of hundreds of millions of books,” said Gulli. “In the history of publishing nothing like this has ever occurred.”

Proceeds from the book will go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
