Top 5 Cities for Book Lovers

August 17, 2011

Localicious, a blog about urban lifestyles and trends, recently posted their “5 Best Cities for Book Lovers.” Each of the five cities is ranked according to its most acclaimed bookstore, with New York City taking the number one spot. Rebecca Carroll, author of the list, cited the city’s Strand Book store for its “18 miles of books, fantastical rare books, a great used graphic novel section,” and, last but not least, “clean, free bathrooms.”

Rounding out spots two through five are Portland, OR (Powell’s Books), San Francisco, CA (City Lights), Washington, D.C. (Politics & Prose), and Pasadena, CA (Vroman’s Bookstore).
