2011 Lawrence Sanders Award in Fiction. Pat Conroy for literay excellence and popular appeal. $5,000 prize.

2010 Anhinga Press Robert Dana Award for Poetry. Kimberly Burwick for Horses in the Cathedral. $2,000 prize and publication by Anhinga Press. Judge: Brian Turner.

2011-2012 Brittingham Prize in Poetry. Jazzy Danziger for Darkroom. $1,000 prize and $1,500 reading honorarium. Publication by University of Wisconsin Press. Judge: Jean Valentine.

2011-2012 Felix Pollak Prize in Poetry. Mark Wagenaar for Voodoo Inverso. $,1000 prize and $1,500 reading honorarium. Publication by University of Wisconsin Press. Judge: Jean Valentine.

2nd Annual Open Season Malahat Review Prize For Poetry, Short Fiction, and Creative Nonfiction:

Cynthia Woodman Kerkham won the $1,000 CAD award for her poem, “Late Summer in Frederick Arm.”
Philip Huynh won the $1,000 CAD award for his short story, “The Investment on Dumfries Street.”
Jessica Hiemstra-van der Horst won the $1,000 CAD award for her creative nonfiction story, “How to bury a yellow toque.”

The 2011 Green Rose Prize. Corey Marks for The Radio Tree. $2,000 and publication by New Issues Poetry and Prose.

2011 Barnes & Noble Writers for Writers Award. Maria Mazziotti Gillan.

Glimmer Train November Short Fiction Award for New Writers:

First place: Clayton Luz, $1,200 and publication for “When the Wind Blows the Water Grey.”
Second place: Joseph Johns, $500 and publication for “Strange Birds.”
Third place: Jonathan Tucker, $300 for “The Coffin Makers.”
