Better Ninth Than Never

May 26, 2011

Amy Stolls, environmental journalist and Literature Program Officer for the National Endowment for the Arts, published her latest novel, The Ninth Wife, in early May. The novel centers on a woman’s journey to meet her soon-to-be husband’s eight ex-wives before marrying him.

“Amy takes us into the…thorny, thrilling truth that love is always complicated, always—every time, every day—a risk,” said Marisa de los Santos, author of the New York Times bestselling book Love Walked In.

Stolls’ young adult novel, Palms to the Ground, saw high acclaim and received a Parents’ Choice Gold Award in 2005. She lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and son.
