The YMCA's Downtown Writers Center is the Central New York State region's home for the literary arts. Program offerings include:
* Readings by 20-25 visiting poets and writers each year.
* An extensive series of workshops in poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and dramatic writing.
* The CNY Book Awards, recognizing the best books written by CNY authors each year.
* August Occasion, our annual summer weekend writers retreat.
