The North Carolina Writers’ Network is an anti-racist organization committed to serving all North Carolina writers. We believe that writing is necessary both for self-expression and a healthy republic, that writing with integrity is necessary for civic discourse, that well-written words can connect people across time and distance, and that the deeply satisfying experiences of writing and reading should be available to everyone. We are, therefore, committed to being equitable, inclusive, accessible, and representative of the diversity of North Carolina writers, and we hold this commitment as fundamental to and inseparable from our mission.
