2024 AWP Prize for Undergrad Lit Mags Judge

Erin Slaughter is the author of the short-story collection A Manual for How to Love Us (Harper Perennial, 2023) and two books of poetry: The Sorrow Festival (CLASH Books, 2022) and I Will Tell This Story to the Sun Until You Remember That You Are the Sun (New Rivers Press, 2019). Her writing has been published by Lit Hub, Electric Literature, CRAFT, and The Rumpus, among others. Slaughter cofounded the literary journal The Hunger and the chapbook press The Hunger Press, is managing editor of Autofocus, and holds a PhD from Florida State University, where she was awarded the Edward H. and Marie C. Kingsbury Fellowship. She is currently a visiting assistant professor of creative writing at Coastal Carolina University.
