She is the author of three short-story books: Gente Menuda (1999), No son gente como uno (2003), Nenitas (2013) and the novel Una no habla de esto (2007). Her work as a fiction writer is included in the following anthologies: Sin límites imaginarios, antología de cuentos del norte de México, (UNAM, 2006), Romper el hielo: novísimas escrituras al pie de un volcán (Bonobos, 2005), Naves que se conducen solas: narrativa en Sonora (2011) and Lados-B: narrativa de alto riesgo (Nitro-Press, 2013).

 

 

She has received two grants from Fondo Estatal para la Cultura y las Artes in 1999 and 2004. And a grant from the Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes in 2007. She was part of the Laboratorio Fronterizo de Escritores/writing lab Tijuana-San Diego in 2006 coordinated by Cristina Rivera-Garza. 

 

She is the author of Coming Out, a Young Adult series to be released by Epic Press this fall.
