Tammie Rice

Spring 2019 Session

Tammie Rice's vocational path resembles the dance of a drunken octopus, with work experience in jewelry design/repair, ice/roller-skating instructor, coliseum and arts council marketing director, and elementary/middle school technology coordinator. While earning an MFA at Mississippi University for Women, Tammie interned for Carolina Wren Press and was managing editor for Ponder Review. She is presently assistant editor of Poetry South and reader for the 2019 CLMP Firecracker Awards. Living under a piedmont sky with two cats and a husband she doesn't deserve, Tammie keeps busy with freelance work in editing, graphic design, web construction, and marketing.
