Shubha Venugopal

Shubha Venugopal holds an MFA and PhD, and she teaches at the California State University, Northridge. She was a winner in a 2016 The Masters Review competition, and was a finalist for the 2016 WC&C Scholarship award. Her work has appeared in Potomac Review, Kartika Review, Post Road Magazine, Storyglossia, Word Riot, Mslexia, and other journals, as well as in the anthology A Stranger Among Us: Stories of Cross Cultural Collision and Connection. She was a finalist for the Robert Olen Butler Short Fiction Prize, 2009. She has placed in competitions by Glimmer Train and The Atlantic Monthly, and was short-listed in a Fish Publishing International contest.
