Phylise Smith

Spring 2019 Session

Phylise Smith is a dancer poet from Los Angeles County. She's received writing conference scholarships and has studied poetry at various workshops and abroad including Tin House, Winter Tangerine, 92nd Street Y in New York, Poets on the Coast in Seattle and other places. Phylise's poetry focuses upon identity, femininity, the marginalized, and family.   She has served as a reader for Expo Review and her poetry has been published in aaduna.org, Selkie Lit, Los Angeles Calendar and other places. Phylise has published online and in Los Angeles Print Journals.
