Lisa Whalen is a writer based in Minnesota, where she teaches composition, literature, and creative writing at a local community college. She has a PhD in postsecondary and adult education, and a master’s degree in creative and critical writing. She is finishing a memoir, tentatively titled Grazing Lessons: How Horses Led Me to Eating Disorder Recovery. Her writing has appeared in An Introvert in an Extrovert World as well as in other edited collections and peer-reviewed journals.
