Previous Writer to Writer Mentees
Judith Gelt
Spring 2017 Session
Judith Gelt was born and raised in Denver and began pursuing writing at fifty-five after a rewarding career in public education. Becoming a writer has proven gratifying, enlightening, and impossibly hard. Between bouts of tortured-artist disorder, her passion for writing nonfiction thrives. She is a lucky first-time Savta (Hebrew for grandmother) thanks to her beautiful, accomplished daughter who she hopes will never write memoir. Excerpts from Judith’s memoir in progress appear in Iron Horse Literary Review, The Portland Review, and Broad Street Magazine, and her essays are published in Superstition Review and Best of Referential Magazine. She is a member of Denver’s Lighthouse Writers Workshop.
Judith Gelt worked with the writer Jill Talbot.
