Adwoa Akhu

Dr. Adwoa Akhu is a New York State–licensed clinical psychologist. She has broad experience in the areas of trauma, depression, stress management, spirituality, African-centered/Black psychology, relationships, and domestic abuse. Dr. Akhu is a former president of the New York Association of Black Psychologists and a former board member of the Association of Black Psychologists. She provides individual counseling and conducts workshops and professional trainings on wide variety of psychological issues. Dr. Akhu is the author of four self-help books: Metamorphosis and Rebuilding (for domestic violence survivors), Creating Healing Space and A Healer’s Guide to Creating Healing Space.
