Dara Mathis loves a good story and always has her hands on one, whether she is reading it or writing it herself. Her work on parenting and race has appeared in outlets including The Atlantic and Zora Magazine. She is the winner of the 2020 Blood Orange Review contest in nonfiction and a 2020 VONA Voices workshop alum. By day, she is a freelance writer, and by night, she devours episodes of The Great British Baking Show. A forever-Florida girl, Dara lives in Maryland with a scientist and three small humans.
